5 Day tour from Rabat to Sahara and Marrakech

DESCRIPTION

Day 01: Rabat – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Tour from Rabat Morocco. After breakfast, our driver will pick up you from your hotel/riad in Rabat and we will travel to south-Est of Morocco towards Merzouga Desert,passing through the incredible landscapes of the Middle Atlas and Ifrane, known as the small Moroccan Switzerland, and the Cedar Forest, where you meet the monkeys.The journey continues to Erfoud, along the Ziz Valley, where you will see a series of fortified villages, which herald the pre-Saharan oasis.Arrival at the dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi), in the magnificent Sahara Desert.In the late afternoon, we will meet the dromedaries, who will take you on a ride through the dunes to the camp in the heart of the desert. Stop to watch the sunset and take photos.Accommodation: luxury camp in Berber tents prepared for tourism,with dinner served by candlelight. Breakfast and typical dinner included.

Day 02: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

One of the most anticipated moments of the trip: it’s time to see the sun rise among the dunes of the Sahara Desert. After sunrise, we will return on camels to the beginning of the dunes. The return trip will be in a 4×4 vehicle.The trip continues to Rissani, a traditional village in southern Morocco, wherethe desert nomads go to do their shopping.The trip continues through the palm groves of Tourog and Tinjdad. Free time to explore theTodra Gorges.We will continue to Boumalne Dades, where we will stay: hotel with breakfast and dinner included.

Day 03: Dades Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait-Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will return through the Dades region, where the winding road cuts through the mountains forming a unique landscape: the Dades Gorge.We will continue towards the Skoura palm grove, surrounded by numerous kasbahs.The trip continues to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, where you can visit the Taourirt.We will continue to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a World Heritage Site,where several famous films such as “Gladiator” and the “Game of Thrones” series were filmed.The trip continues to Marrakech, through the High Atlas Mountains.Arrival in Marrakech in the evening.Accommodation in Marrakech with breakfast included.

Day 04: Marrakech (cultural tour of Marrakech)

After breakfast, we will visit the main attractions of Marrakech with a local guide. A colorful city with a special hustle and bustle. Land of sultans and concubines, its wealth is reflected in the palaces and gardens that fill the city with color and glory. People from all over the world fill the streets and riads, bringing its famous Djemaa El Fna square to life. We will see the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, the souks (markets), the Medina and the Jemaa El Fna square. So that you can enjoy the journey and walk through the streets of the Medina and souks, the tour will be done on foot with a local guide. The tour is expected to end at 2:00 p.m. – Free afternoon for shopping and to enjoy the restaurants in the Jemaa El Fna square. Accommodation in Marrakech with breakfast included.

Day 05: Marrakech – Menara Marrakesh Airport
